"The Six Meals": A Tale of Resilience and Community Support!

During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic in May 2020, Sri Lanka's largest private Export Processing Zone (EPZ), MAS Fabric Park, found itself grappling with unprecedented challenges. As brave colleagues battled on at the production plants, limited or no options for take-out food became a pressing concern for their families.

In response to this critical need, a team of enterprising individuals at MAS Athena, driven by a genuine desire to aid their community, embarked on a noble social cause known as T6M. This initiative sought to roll out a meticulously designed "take home" fast-food service, aimed at providing much-needed support to the families of those toiling on the frontline.

Fueled by determination and resourcefulness, the visionary team conceived a novel solution: they decided to revitalize a decades-old, abandoned fire truck into a fully functional fast-food outlet. Through tireless efforts and unwavering commitment, the fire truck was transformed into an inviting and dynamic food truck, poised to serve the heart of the MAS Fabric Park community.

T6M represented a significant departure from MAS Athena's conventional F&B business, which primarily catered to large events and conferences with elaborate buffets. In light of the pandemic-induced lockdown and limited dine-in options, the team recognized the importance of adapting their product offerings to meet the external market demand for fast-food options.

Undeterred by the challenges, they meticulously crafted a menu that showcased six succulent varieties of fast food, including Kottu, Fried Rice, Noodles, Pasta, Grilled food, and Nasi Goreng. The team took great pride in ensuring that each offering carried the distinct DNA of T6M - marked by sustained quality and expedited delivery, all thanks to the unwavering dedication of the services team at MAS Athena.

With a focus on customer convenience, T6M allowed food lovers to place pre-orders via mobile phones, offering an array of spicy and tempting options to choose from. Furthermore, the innovative service extended beyond mere take-out meals, providing options for "celebrations dine-in" at the T6M outlet, as well as the "T6M @ your doorstep" service, catering to the needs of home parties.

As word spread throughout the park, T6M swiftly garnered admiration and appreciation from the community it served. Not only did it provide essential sustenance during a challenging time, but it also became a symbol of resilience and unwavering support in the face of adversity.

"The Six Meals" is a testament to the power of human ingenuity, compassion, and community spirit. It showcases the remarkable impact that a determined group of individuals can make when united by a common purpose - to stand by their colleagues and their families during the most trying times. With their unwavering commitment to service and their innovative approach to catering, T6M emerged as a beacon of hope and sustenance, etching a profound legacy in the hearts of the MAS Fabric Park community.
